Steve Kowkabany leads the fire protection engineering and life safety consulting at VERTEX, bringing over 25 years of diverse engineering experience. He shifted from sectors like pulp & paper and power generation to specialize in fire protection across industrial, residential, and commercial areas. He has designed fire systems for over 500 facilities and is a licensed engineer in multiple states. He holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s from Georgia Tech.
